We collect no personal data. Specifically:
ShieldAI is a static HTML page. All masking and unmasking logic runs as JavaScript in your browser. There is no backend server receiving your inputs. When you click "Mask data", the substitution happens entirely on your device.
The only external requests made by this page are to load fonts from Google Fonts. No data you enter is included in those requests.
ShieldAI itself does not send your data to any AI model. However, the purpose of the tool is to help you safely copy masked data into a third-party AI service (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini). When you do this, you are subject to that service's own privacy policy and terms of use.
Because ShieldAI replaces sensitive fields with tokens before you copy the data, the AI model only ever receives anonymised information — not real names, SSNs, account numbers, or other PII.
ShieldAI retains no data. All information processed by the tool exists only in your browser's memory for the duration of your session. Refreshing or closing the page permanently removes it.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the tool after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
